What was once a dilapidated lumber yard became a newly constructed three-story, mixed-use building containing retail and rental apartments. Located along a waterfront inlet in the Village of Roslyn the reimagined development utilizes materials that are true to the historical district around it. The use of a brick and steel aesthetic, reminiscing of an industrial warehouse, has since become an integral part of the local fabric.

The Barn

Initially where lumber was stored, the historic barn has been transformed through adaptive reuse and its internal spaces repurposed for retail use - while at the same time retaining important historical characteristics on it’s exterior.

The use of floor-to-floor curtain wall on the exterior facade allows the tenants to maximize natural daylighting and experience different views of either the village center or the waterfront from within their respective apartment.
